Success AND Balance
You can achieve success AND balance in life. You don’t have to trade one for the other.
I start every morning by trying to find one thing that can make me successful in all areas of life. I then share it with others. Sign up if you would like to have this thought delivered to your email every morning.
I’m Thad and I’m a student, teacher, and coach. I strive everyday to reach my potential in serving others and living a fulfilled life. My enthusiasm and love for life comes from the desire to also help others reach their own potential.
When it comes to winning at life, I believe in the theory of AND. I believe you can have a successful career AND maintain balance in all areas of life.
My main professional focus is serving as a teacher and the head football coach at Mooresville High School in North Carolina. However, my most important responsibility is being a husband to my wife Rachel and father to our three children, Stanton, Hankins and Lottie.
I take a somewhat unique approach to nearly all areas of life. This comes from my belief in discovering the principles of things and then using those principles as guidance for applying your own personal creativity. In order to do this, I try to create a lifestyle that allows me the time to think. This involves creating systems and processes to handle routine tasks. I believe success in life partially centers around your ability to prevent problems and recognize opportunities. Without the freedom to think and analyze, this is impossible.
One of my biggest passions in life is learning. I wake up every morning at 3:00am in order to have enough time to read and think before starting each day. I love to learn about almost anything but spend most of my time studying the following:
- Lifestyle Creation
As a football coach, my accomplishments include landing my first head job by the age of 23, winning a state title by the age of 30, having my first ever clinic talk published in Nike’s Coach of the Year manual, and being selected by the AFCA for their 2018 35 under 35 program.
